Loose tooth

October 23rd, 2009

So a few weeks ago, my eye swelled up and the side of my face hurt. Mom knew it hurt because I flinched when she went to pet me on that side. Of course this meant a trip to the doctor.

The doctor couldn’t tell my mom what was going on. He sent us home with an antibiotic and some pain medication. Mom was not satisfied with the doctor’s analysis and took me to a different vet. She inspected me, but said she wasn’t sure what was going on.

Eventually, the swelling went down and everyone stopped worrying. And rightfully so. I was (and still am) eating like a champ. No more flinching when pet on the face. It was all good.

Then tonight, my uncle inspects my teeth and notices one is loose! It is hanging on by a thread. So now mom is thinking I am going to have to have surgery. Yikes!

We will keep you posted on what happens. I just hope I get compensated for my trauma with treats.

  1. Dear Pebbles,
What a pleasure it was to have you over on Saturday night, thanks for keeping us in check.
I have a dog bone to pick with you, however, it goes like this:
Yea, I thought it was cute when you ate my birthday cake, I mean, it looked great and tasted even better, and how COULD you resist all of those smiling bees?
And when I was going through all of those pictures from the other night of YOU on Chris’s lap, I thought to myself, now there’s one bitch who I don’t mind sitting on his lap. I can deal with that, because I thought I had your respect.
BUT this morning after the haze of a much needed rest began to clear, I pulled the curtains back, only to reveal that you piddled on my side of the bed and clearly I have to re-set my boundaries:
You can NOT have him bitch, he’s mine!
I hope we can work through this, because I thought we were friends.
I’ll see you when I see you, but just remember, I’ll be watching you.
    Siea
